§ 37.04. ACCEPTANCE OF CREDIT CARD OR BANK CARD AND ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER PAYMENTS.

  • (A) The Common Council, as the fiscal body of the city, authorizes the Clerk-Treasurer to accept bank card, credit card, or electronic funds transfer payments by the methods set forth in I.C. 36-1-8-11.
    (B) The Common Council, as the fiscal body of the city, authorizes the Clerk-Treasurer to pay any applicable bank card or credit card service charges in accordance with I.C. 36-1-8-11(g).
    (C) The Common Council ordains that the payment of any applicable bank card or credit card service charges by the Clerk-Treasurer, as authorized above, must be uniformly applied to all payments of the same type as set forth in I.C. 36-1-8-11(e).
    (D) The Common Council ordains that the city is authorized to collect from a person using the card the fee charged by its bank or credit card vendor and a reasonable convenience fee, as set forth in I.C. 36-1-8-11(f). However, the city will provide notice at least 30 days prior to any change to the convenience fee after January 1, 2014.
